Pergola is an online literary magazine curated by students in the Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing at Hood College. Our magazine is a digital gathering place where anyone can connect over the varied and dynamic landscape of contemporary literature. Rooted in the rich tradition of the Pergola on Hood's campus—a place where paths converge, friendships are strengthened, and words are chosen with care—our magazine aspires to cultivate a literary community that honors inclusivity and the power of our shared stories. We are particularly interested in showcasing the work of historically underrepresented voices, including women writers, writers of color, queer and trans writers, and writers with disabilities.
